AccessNow
AccessNow is a platform that allows creation of FAN accounts by authorised staff members (sponsors). With this self-service web app, authorised staff members can easily create and manage access for a new or existing user.
Available for: Sponsors who have accountability to manage user accounts (FANs) in their respective areas.
Adobe Creative Cloud
Adobe Creative Cloud is a set of applications and services from Adobe Systems that gives subscribers access to a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development and photography.
Creative Cloud subscription includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Audition, Animate, Encore, Flash, InCopy, Muse, Premier, Fireworks and many others apps. There is an annual cost and requires supervisor/manager approval.

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) enables marketers to leverage an easy-to-use and intuitive content management system to create, manage, and deliver relevant and engaging experiences across responsive websites, mobile websites, IoT devices, and on-site screens. As part of the AEM suite, AEM Assets for digital asset management (DAM), and Adobe Targets for executing online tests, are available.

Adobe Sign
Adobe Sign is a cloud-based e-signature service that allows the user to send, sign, track, and manage signature processes using a browser or mobile device.

Ascender Pay
The University's Payroll System, Ascender, enables P&C staff to manage and analyse the University’s payroll information. The Ascender system provides a reliable payroll system which helps ensure staff are paid in a timely manner while enabling the University to meet its tax and superannuation obligations. In June 2020, after the Workday launch, Ascender will continue as the University’s payroll system only.

Basware
Basware is an invoice processing system used by Flinders University to administer and manage the workflow of invoices, reimbursements and payment requests.
Available for: Colleges and portfolio staff (generally finance officers, but could be other support staff that are required to code and/or approve invoices and other expenditure for payments).
Camtasia
This screen recording and video editing software enables you to record onscreen activity, audio and web cam video and narrate existing PowerPoint presentations. It also enables the upload and edit video footage captured on mobile devices and digital recorders.
With Camtasia you can customise and edit content both on Mac and Windows platforms, and share your videos with viewers on nearly any device.
Camtasia is available on all student computers managed by Flinders.
Staff can install via the IDS Support Portal on your computer.

Casual Academic Scheduling & Payment (CASP)
CASP is Flinders University’s system used to create, offer, and pay scheduled activities for Casual Academic Teachers. The system accommodates teaching and non-teaching activities, the offer to work and variations to schedules.
Effective April 30, 2024, the CASP system will also be used to manage timesheets for Casual Academic Researchers and Casual Academics working in DVCS, Yungkurrinthi and FMHRI Sleep Health.
Scheduling and payments available for: Casual Academic Teachers in colleges, Education Resources Officers and Primary Topic Coordinators.
Timesheets available for: Casual Academic Researchers, and Casual Academics working in DVCS, Yungkurrinthi and FMHRI Sleep Health. Also available for Timesheet Approvers and Payroll Officers.
CellOPark
CellOPark is a parking payment application for smartphones that allows users to instantly start and stop a paid parking session in a CellOPark zone. The application is cloud based and provides users with secure access to their parking history, as well as the ability to produce reports and control parking payments online.

ChemDraw Prime
ChemDraw Prime is a complete entry-level drawing program that provides the tools to create chemically intelligent, publication-ready chemical structures and reactions, laboratory notes and experiment write-ups. As well as a full set of chemical structure essentials such as rings, bonds, chains, atoms and functional groups, ChemDraw Prime includes chemical and lab equipment templates and handy TLC and Gel Electrophoresis Plate drawing tools.

Compass
Compass is part of the student website and has been designed to lead a student to content and systems they access on a regular basis, from a single location. It does not replace the Student System or Okta, but makes it easier for a student to find where they need to go. A student is able to log in and see personalised information.

TRIM (Content Manager) is Flinders University's electronic document and records management system and the repository for official University correspondence.

EndNote is a bibliographic database and reference management application. It allows you to coordinate your activities and collaborate more effectively with your team. EndNote ensures that the manual work of collecting, formatting and curating research materials is reduced, and it gives you greater ease and control in coordinating with your colleagues.

Event management system (EMS)
The online Event Management System is a support resource for all Flinders college, divisions, units and institutes for authorised events.
The system has two main functions:
Events are set up and published in the system by OCME.
Event organisers are granted RSVP management permissions within the EMS and are able to access and manage registration information for their event. This enables event organisers to access event registration data.
FlinSafe
FlinSafe is the University’s reporting and data management system where staff, students and others go to report work-related incidents, accidents and workplace hazards. FlinSafe is also used for staff and students involved in field trips run by Flinders University.
You must report all work-related incidents and accidents to your supervisor as soon as possible and in FlinSafe within 24 hours.

FLO is Flinders University's web-based learning and teaching platform, facilitates the creation of online educational environments by non-technical users. FLO can be used to create entire online topics and courses, or to provide interactive tools that supplement or complement existing topics and courses.

FLIP is the University’s information delivery portal and will become the one-stop-shop that brings together data from different university systems to deliver intelligence and insights that empower you to make data driven decisions.

Fraedom is the expense management system used by Flinders University for our purchasing cards.

IBM SPSS Statistics is a computer application that supports statistical analysis of data. It allows for comprehensive data access and preparation. The software has extensive capabilities in analytical reporting, graphics and statistical modelling.

iEnrol is a web-based application that supports the administration process of enrolling in professional development courses at Flinders University. Courses are offered by different professional services around the University. Inspire
Inspire is a candidature management tool for higher degree by research students, their supervisors and related support staff. You can use Inspire to submit degree management forms for recommendation, assess your research skills, plan your research training and book into available training courses.

InPlace Placement Management System is an application that Flinders uses to manage Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities or 'placements’.
Available for: Students (who have placements managed in InPlace) and selected staff
Jabber
Cisco Jabber is a collaboration tool used for instant messaging, presence and desktop sharing.
This software is standard on all Flinders University computers on the Flinders network. Jabber is available for BYOD (Bring Your own Device) staff that access the Flinders network. For BYOD staff, desktop sharing is available on PC only.

Wolfram Mathematica (Mathematica) is a symbolic mathematical computation program, sometimes called a computer algebra program, used in many scientific, engineering, mathematical, and computing fields. The Wolfram Language is the programming language used in Mathematica.

MATLAB is the high-level language and interactive environment used by millions of engineers and scientists worldwide. It lets you explore and visualise ideas and collaborate across disciplines including signal and image processing, communications, control systems, and computational finance.

Microsoft Office 365 is an integrated experience of apps and services with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email and note taking capability. It includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive.
It is pre-installed on all staff machines.

Microsoft Project is project management software to assist with steamlining projects and resources.

Microsoft Online Whiteboard
Microsoft Whiteboard is a digital whiteboard is an app that functions like a traditional whiteboard but is hosted virtually. Digital whiteboards can integrate with other video conferencing and screen sharing platforms to make collaboration possible even when everyone is not physically in the same room. A digital whiteboard offers multiple colors, shapes, and templates to choose from and can be saved as a shareable file for easy access in the future.

NVivo
NVivo is software for qualitative research and analysis. Flinders University has a site licence agreement with QSR, with the cost of the software covered by the central budget. The licence agreement allows for the use of NVivo on all university computers.

Qualtrics is an easy to use survey tool that can be used to set up questions for simple or complext data collection. Qualtrics is especially good for academic research activities and is a widely used tool across the education sector, which means it is easy to collaborate with colleagues from other institutions.

Raiser’s Edge NXT (RE NXT)
RE NXT is a cloud-based type of customer relationship management system designed particularly with a focus on donors and donor management and used by non-profit organisations.
Available for: Alumni & Advancement Team. As at May 2019, RE NXT is being ‘rolled out’ to other Flinders University Businesses.
REDCap
REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data (including 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, and HIPAA-compliant environments), it is specifically geared to support online or offline data capture for research studies and operations. The REDCap Consortium, a vast support network of collaborators, is composed of thousands of active institutional partners in over one hundred countries who utilize and support REDCap in various ways.

Workday
Workday is the University’s HR system and provides all staff and affiliates access to view and manage People and Culture tasks such as requesting a period of absence (eg annual leave), checking your leave balances, managing your personal information and viewing your payslips. It also provides staff with better visibility of our organisational structure and new ways to navigate our organisation chart. Casual professional staff will also access Workday for submission of timesheets for payment.
