The Office of Academic Quality and Enhancement plays a pivotal role in ensuring and enhancing the overall educational experience at Flinders. We oversee academic quality standards and integrity, deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the DVCS portfolio, support the shaping and maintenance of the University’s curriculum portfolio, and manage student complaints and policy.

Curriculum Services encompasses two teams, Curriculum Management and Curriculum Information and Analytics.
The area is responsible for providing strategic leadership for a range of processes and services in support of the shaping and maintenance of the University’s curriculum portfolio to promote continuous improvement of a curriculum portfolio informed by insights drawn from data, educational, market and viability factors.

The Curriculum Information and Analytics team are responsible for assuring the integrity of the University curriculum data set and are custodians of the University Enterprise Curriculum Management Systems.
Curriculum Management
The Curriculum team provides support for the structural development and approval of new and amended curriculum, are responsible for supporting the development of curriculum proposals, progressing through governance workflow, and implementation of changes and provide support for the preparation of submissions for internal accreditation of courses.
Student Policy and Integrity Services is responsible for providing advice on and support for the development of student-related policies and procedures, especially those relating to student complaint and appeal processes, academic integrity and student misconduct matters. It acts as the central lodgement point and provides support for the management of student complaints and appeals, including support for investigations involving complex student matters.

AQCR is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and improving the University’s self-assurance and compliance with key legislation and standards, in particular the relevant standards under the TEQSA Act 2011, the ESOS Act 2000 and the Higher Education Support Act 2003. We act as a key contact point with TEQSA, particularly on Third Party Agreements, Material Change Notifications, Re-registration, and Requests for Information. We manage cyclical and non-cyclical quality assurance and improvement activities such as benchmarking and external referencing, Key Accountability Measures annual reporting, and TEQSA and CRICOS registration.
The DVCS Project Management Office (PMO) is dedicated to ensuring projects aimed at enhancing student experiences and services are effectively managed and aligned with Flinders University's strategic goals. We oversee a variety of strategic, CIP, compliance, and business improvement projects across the portfolio.
By establishing robust project governance, optimising resources, engaging stakeholders, and managing risks, our PMO strives to enhance both student and staff experiences, enrich student services and supports, and streamline the digital environment. Committed to continuous improvement, our PMO ensures projects contributes to the overall success and satisfaction of our community.
Student Policy and Integrity Services oversees and coordinates the University’s student complaint, review and appeal processes, in accordance with relevant standards under the Higher Education Standards Framework. The team also provides administrative support to the University’s student academic integrity functions and student conduct framework.
In addition, the team is responsible for providing advice on and support for the development of student-related policies and procedures, especially those relating to student complaint and appeal processes, academic integrity and student misconduct matters. It also provides regular reports to Governance Committees, the Senior Executive, and Colleges on trends in student complaints, reviews and appeals, and student academic integrity and student misconduct cases, using de-identified data.
