Flinders Print

Workplace support Digital services Flinders Print Staff

Flinders Print is a green, secure, and easy to print solution.

A new suite of Ricoh multifunction device printers are being rolled out across the university from May 2022 to provide a more efficient, greener printing solution. To print, scan or photocopy, all you need to do is simply swipe your ID card at the printer.

‘Swipe and Release’ printing allows you to send your print from any University or Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to the FlindersPrint queue and collect from any newly installed multifunction printer most convenient to you.

Benefits of Flinders Print:

  • Reduction in printing costs
  • Upgrade to a modern fleet of maintained multifunction printers, reducing printer numbers from over 700 to 300
  • Ricoh valet service enable efficiencies and savings from standardising printer consumable ordering and reducing the need for local areas to maintain printers and consumables
  • Improved print security through ‘Swipe and Release’ functionality
  • Contributes to the University’s sustainability plan targets through reduced power and printer consumables (toner and paper) usage and CO2 emissions. At the same time, ensuring redundant printers are recycled.
  • Further savings through consolidation and reduction in billing, invoicing and accounts processing.
