ChemDraw Prime

ChemDraw Prime is a complete entry-level drawing program that provides the tools to create chemically intelligent, publication-ready chemical structures and reactions, laboratory notes and experiment write-ups.

As well as a full set of chemical structure essentials such as rings, bonds, chains, atoms and functional groups, ChemDraw Prime includes chemical and lab equipment templates and handy TLC and Gel Electrophoresis Plate drawing tools.

Licensing and installation

Staff can access ChemDraw Prime on their University computers through the IDS Support Portal on their computer.

Home use

ChemDraw is also available for use by staff and students for use on home computers.

Navigate to https://informatics.perkinelmer.com/sitesubscription/ and scroll down to find Flinders University in the list of institutions. Then click the link highlighted.
Enter your Flinders email address into the field and click Submit (requests using a non-Flinders email account will be declined).

3. The website will verify your email address and confirm that you are member of Flinders University. Click continue to proceed.

4. You will receive an email from Perkin Elmer containing your serial number and links to download software

Support

IDS will be able to help you with the installation or licensing on any University owned/controlled computers.

Technical support for installations on private computers is not available.

Support for digital and IT services

Opening hours: 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays

After hours or when all staff are busy you will be given an option to leave a voicemail message. Voicemails will be accessed as soon as practical during business hours otherwise you may choose to log an IT support request.
