What we do

Marketing and Student Recruitment (MSR) have overall responsibility for developing and implementing strategic marketing and student recruitment initiatives that enhance the Flinders University brand and increase market share and overall student growth.  Collectively we are on a mission to be Australia's most loved and accessible university.  

Our teams have been structured to align with the purchase funnel and includes Brand, Creative Services, Events, Prospect Management,  Product Marketing, and Customer Experience.

The Brand, Creative Services, and Events team are the Flinders brand custodians, responsible for developing all brand creative initiatives to shape and enhance our brand. The team includes the Creative Studio, Events, Partnerships, and Flinders Awareness Campaigns.

The Prospect Management Team oversees student recruitment and engagement efforts, including school presentations, expos, roadshows, workshops, and one-on-one appointments. We respond to all inbound calls, emails, and chat inquiries, guiding prospective students from inquiry to enrolment.

You can do this via Service One. Complete the form and a job will be logged directly with the CX team. You will be contacted within 24 hours.

How can I gain access to Canva? keyboard_arrow_up

How can I gain access to the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)? keyboard_arrow_up

Can MSR take event photos? keyboard_arrow_up

MSR does not have an in-house photographer. For event photos, consider these options:

  1. Visit the Creative Services Panel to hire a professional photographer or videographer.
  2. Use a high-quality mobile phone camera to capture event moments.
  3. Check with your college about borrowing a DSLR camera set to 'point-and-click' mode.
Can MSR help develop a video? keyboard_arrow_up

Submit a Video Request Form, and we will confirm availability within 2–3 business days.

Can MSR help edit photos or videos? keyboard_arrow_up

Email the creative studio with your requirements and we will be in touch.

Can MSR take event videography? keyboard_arrow_up

MSR has a videographer who may be available to assist. Submit your request to the Creative Studio, and we will respond within 2–3 business days. Alternatively:

1. Visit the Creative Services panel and submit a brief to hire a videographer.
2. Use your mobile phone's high-quality video capabilities.

For video editing requests, refer to the Creative Studio for support.

What are the branding guidelines for Flinders’ centres and institutes? keyboard_arrow_up

You can download the Flinders Brand guidelines. MSR is currently establishing new guidelines for logo usage and eligibility. Until then, please direct any logo requests to the Creative Studio. Once the guidelines are complete, we will update the process accordingly.

How do I request a logo/brand for my centre of institute? keyboard_arrow_up

MSR is currently updating guidelines for logo usage and eligibility. For now, please direct all logo requests to the Creative Studio. Once guidelines are finalised, the process will be updated.

Where can I order Flinders University branded merchandise? keyboard_arrow_up

 

  • Internal Orders: Use the Internal Merchandise Form to view options and charge to an account code. Allow up to 7 working days for delivery.
  • Custom Merchandise: Submit a Custom Merchandise Request Form and allow 6–12 weeks for production and delivery.
  • Personal Purchases: Visit the Flinders Online Store for personal orders.

    Simply complete the Social Media Request Form and MSR will get back to you.

    Can MSR help ensure my research publication aligns with Flinders’ brand for external audiences? keyboard_arrow_up

    If you are from a College, contact your Marketing Team representative to discuss your requirements. For external design and publication support, refer to the Creative Services Panel.

  • College Staff: Speak to your Marketing Team representative to discuss the most appropriate providers for the services required
  • International Portfolio Staff: Reach out to the International Marketing Communications Partner or Digital Content Producer.
  • Other Areas: Submit a Creative Studio Brief, and MSR will assist you.
