InPlace Placement Management System is an externally hosted application that Flinders uses to manage WIL or 'placements'.
It is a requirement of some Flinders' topics that a specified number of hours or days of work integrated learning (WIL) be completed in order to pass the topic.
InPlace is used by University staff to:
Students enrolled in topics involving placements managed through InPlace, access the system to view and manage their placements.
There are three different types of access to InPlace:
Staff
InPlace is available to selected staff to manage the placement process for students.
For staff who just need to enquire on placement information eg. teaching staff, staff supervising students on placements, contact your College Work Integrated Learning team to arrange access.
For staff who are responsible for creating and managing placements in InPlace: Access to InPlace form.
Students
Students enrolled in topics involving placements managed through InPlace are automatically granted access to the system.
Agencies
Agency access is currently not available.
Staff and students who have an InPlace account can access the system via their Flinders Dashboard (Okta).
Online learning modules are available for you to learn about InPlace.
If you have any queries about the online learning, please contact the IDS Service Desk.
These modules provide an overview of the windows and functions available in InPlace.
This training is to be completed by staff who are responsible for creating and maintaining agency data in InPlace.
These modules guide you through creating communication templates, adding attachments to templates and sending bulk student SMS and emails.
