Flinders University academic promotion policy supports the promotion of academic staff, recognising and rewarding sustained excellence across academic activity and supporting the University in meeting the strategic priorities of the 2025 Agenda.

The application process for academic promotion for 2024 will be invited from Monday 8 April 2024.

The call
The call for promotions will be released on Monday 8 April 2024. At this time access to the website and all relevant promotion material, including details of filling out the application through Service One will be accessible here. Please monitor this page for any updates.
Application submission dates
For Promotions to Level B or C
For Promotions to Level D or E
Committee dates
The Committees will meet w/c 23 September 2024 (Level B-C), and w/c 14 October 2024 (Level D-E).
Decision dates
Following the Committee Meetings decisions will be made and promotion letters will be issued within a 2 week period following the completion of the committee meeting.
Promotion entitlements will take effect 1 January 2025.
