Performance reviews

Employee resources Working at Flinders Performance reviews

Performance review and development (PRD) – All staff

The Performance Review and Development (PRD) process provides the basis for a supervisor/manager and staff member to work together in assessing and developing performance objectives including:

  •  assist staff to development and clarify performance expectations;
  • assist the supervisor and staff member to jointly plan the work required to achieve the goals
  • assist supervisors to monitor and assess the performance and development goals.

PRD provides the mechanism for a formal review of performance on an annual basis, and regular feedback throughout the year.

All professional and academic staff are required to undertake regular performance reviews in accordance with clause 27 of the Flinders University Enterprise Agreement.

Casual staff are not required to participate in the formal PRD process. However, they are expected to perform to a satisfactory standard while carrying out their responsibilities. Supervisors should provide clear expectations of these standards for both academic and professional casual staff.

There are two options for the PRD Framework using Workday – Upload your Own or Guided. Guides for both are available below.

If you have any questions, please contact organisational.development@flinders.edu.au

Organisational Development and Diversity will conduct regular PRD training sessions.  Please enrol via the Staff Learning Portal.
