CASP is Flinders University’s system specifically designed to create, offer, and pay scheduled activities for our casual academic staff. The system accommodates teaching and non-teaching activities, the offer to work and variations to schedules.

Casual Academic Scheduling & Payments (CASP) went live on 23 September 2022. The new system will be introduced in stages with go live on 23 September 2022 being the first stage.
More functionality will be introduced in CASP as business needs evolve.
Casual Academic Scheduling & Payments (CASP) is available through your Flinders University Okta Dashboard.
Please note those required to undertake actions in CASP will have automatic access granted (other may be given access if required). For more information see FAQ How do I get access to CASP.
CASP may be used on a mobile device. Note to enable this, you need to allow permissions for Office 365.
Existing staff
Automatic access has been granted for involved staff, this includes:
Casual Academic Scheduling & Payments (CASP) can be found through your Flinders University Okta Dashboard.
New staff
Casual Academics new to the university will automatically have CASP add to their Flinders University Okta Dashboard upon completion of all tasks, including supervisor tasks, in Workday.
If a casual academic role is not your primary role you will not automatically receive access. Please raise a service one request and our support team will be able to grant you access.

FlindersPro is no longer in use for the management of Casual Academic Scheduling and Payments.
A new and improved system, Casual Academic Scheduling & Payments (CASP), has been developed to manage scheduling and payment of Casual Academics moving forward.

For Casual Academics, please use CASP to accept and view your offers and schedules. All schedules for Semester 1 2022 from FlindersPro have been migrated into CASP.
Who to contact:
Casual Academic Scheduling and Payments (CASP) has replaced FlindersPro and covers the schedule to payment process for Casual Academics. This includes any variations for past, present, or future activities.
Casual academics are paid based on your work schedule and variations will be made where required. The key change is Casual Academic pay will now be processed from CASP opposed to FlindersPro.

In the first instance, please reach out to your college education resources officer as they have a wealth of knowledge on the system and schedules.

Note that if you are using your mobile device to access CASP, all office 365 permissions will need to be allowed in order for the system to work. You need to use your Flinders email address. All other email address options will not allow access.

The Offer to Work guide will assist in all aspects of the offer to work process, including how it works, what screens mean and how to decline an offer to work.

If you experience a system or technical issue and need support, please raise a Service One request to CASP support.
For variation queries or requests:
Please see your Topic Coordinators (for CHASS, CMPH, CNHS, CSE) or Teaching Program Director (for EPSW/BGL) for offers to work and variation queries.
Your Topic Coordinators or Teaching Program Directors will then ask the Education Resources Officer to make any changes required in CASP.
As per our Enterprise Agreement the descriptors for Casual Academic staff show what is paid for each activity can be found in Schedule 5 “Rates and Descriptors for Casual Academic Staff”.
Opening hours: 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
After hours or when all staff are busy you will be given an option to leave a voicemail message. Voicemails will be accessed as soon as practical during business hours otherwise you may choose to log an IT support request.
