Timetables

Learning and teaching Timetables

The University’s timetable is produced annually and supports the delivery of high-quality teaching, enabling students to learn effectively and complete the requirements of a course.

All teaching activities must be timetabled within the timetabling system in order to avoid timetable clashes, to enable complete timetables to be provided to students and staff, and for the University to manage and oversee space utilisation.

Each year education resources officer(s) gather scheduling information from academics regarding the specific needs of their topics and enter it into the timetabling system. This information is then used by the Resources Scheduling Services team to create the University timetable which is finalised in early November in time for enrolment and class registration.

View the timetable

The timetable viewer allows you to generate a customised view of:

  • topics
  • locations
  • programs of study
  • staff

Use the 2021 timetable viewer

Use the 2020 timetable viewer

Need help using the timetable viewer? Refer to the timetable viewer video tutorial and the timetable viewer user guide.

Information on classes is available via the Report Manager - Timetabling Reports.

For access off campus a Flinders VPN (Virtual Private Network) is required. It is recommended that you use an Internet Explorer browser.

Add the timetable to your Outlook

To view your Outlook Timetable calendar you need to be recorded against all the classes that you are teaching in the timetable system Syllabus Plus. Your College Education Resources Officer will be able to update the class details. Please note that this may not be possible when classes are team taught.
