The University’s timetable, produced annually, coordinates and underpins innovative, high-quality, and best practice learning and teaching activities. This is by providing and communicating timetabling choices that empower students and staff to achieve positive learning outcomes. Transparent and timely timetabling processes, including planning and monitoring, enable a more coordinated and proactive approach that supports the best use of the University's resources, human, physical and digital.
All teaching activities that require participation at a specified day and a time must be timetabled within the timetabling system in order to avoid timetable clashes, to enable complete timetables to be provided to students and staff, and for the University to manage and oversee space utilisation.
Resources Scheduling Services and Education Resources Officers work collaboratively with academic staff to build and publish the University timetable and provide expert advice to Colleges as they plan their academic offerings for the next year.
