CSE International Committee Terms of Reference
Purpose
The CSE International Committee is responsible for assisting the College Executive to deliver the College’s International strategies, ensuring alignment with the College’s education and research goals and the University’s International priorities.
Terms of Reference
In consultation with the College Executive, develop, support implementation and manage a sustainable rolling three-year international plan which supports the College’s education, research and engagement objectives and goals.
The CSE International Plan will consider:
- International student recruitment
- The special needs of international students while at Flinders
- International mobility opportunities for Flinders students
- International education partnerships
- International research partnerships
- Brand profile and international reputation
- Other international issues related to CSE as appropriate.
Composition and Membership:
- CSE Vice President and Executive Dean (VPED): Chairperson
- CSE Director, College Services (DoCS): deputy Chair when required
- CSE Dean, Education
- CSE Dean, Research
- CSE International Co-ordinator
- Academic rep from target student growth area
- Director: International Student Recruitment
- Director: International Engagement
- Manager International Recruitment and Engagement
- Other guests whose expertise and experience are required to support effective decision-making.
Meetings, Reporting and Minutes:
- Meetings are to be held every two months. Extraordinary meetings may be called by the Chair when appropriate.
- Core members are to appoint an appropriate proxy when unable to attend.
- A quorum of five members must be present for a meeting to proceed. (Proxys count as core members)
- Invitations to other stakeholders must be approved by the Chair.
