Targeted Calls for Research (TCR) are a one-time request for grant applications to address a specific health issue where there is a significant research knowledge gap or unmet need.
A TCR is designed to stimulate research or build research capacity in a particular area of health and medical science to the benefit of Australians.
Please refer to individual TCRs for topics, funding level and duration, key dates, and eligibility requirements.
In alignment with NHMRC’s Corporate Plan, the objective of the TCR scheme is to fund targeted research that responds to unmet or emerging health needs and reflects national, state and territory, and consumer and community priorities.
