Academic Status holders are shaping the future medical and public health workforce - delivering their expertise through teaching, coaching and student supervision. Each year, we partner with clinicians and specialist educators to deliver world-class, student-centred programs in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Integrity is one of the University’s four core values. Academic integrity is a commitment to principles of honesty, respect, trust and fairness. It requires all of us to be aware of our responsibilities and to adhere to professional and ethical standards in learning, teaching, research and scholarship.
When you come to work at Flinders University you become a member of a community that is committed to principles of academic integrity. This commitment maintains Flinders’ reputation and ensures the quality of our research and graduates. Flinders policy, procedures and processes are consistent with good practice in the education sector.

Students learn about Flinders support services and are encouraged to develop and cultivate a range of skills and strategies that have been shown to bolster and build self-efficacy and strengthen self-care. When students plan and prepare for challenges and adversity through engagement with healthy habits that enhance health and wellbeing the capacity to navigate stressful, demanding and uncertain environments is improved. Establishing and maintaining healthy habits is vital to bringing your best selves to your studies.
We encourage and provide a range of training and professional development courses for Academic Status holders, clinical academics and researchers who support students. There are numerous ways to support and enable student success and it is important that you strive to identify how you can support students to maintain their good mental health and seek support if they (or you) recognise changes in how they are coping.
Students should be encouraged to discuss their concerns and worries with:
