Library Claiming of Scopus Outputs

From November 2024, the Library is providing additional support by actively claiming research outputs from Scopus published in the last five years.

What we do:

• Claim & Verify pending Scopus outputs published in the last 5 years. You will need to claim publications older than 5 years yourself.
• Assign a Flinders Publication Category (FPC) where the categorisation is clear.

What we need from you:

• Add your Scopus ID to your ResearchNow profile; without it, we cannot claim Scopus outputs on your behalf.
• Maintain one Scopus ID. Learn more here.
• Affiliate consistently in publications. Follow the University’s authorship of research outputs guidelines, including using your ORCiD. Learn more here.

Library recommendations:

• Review Library claimed outputs: If you notice any errors, contact the Library via ServiceOne. Only use the disclaim feature to remove any outputs incorrectly claimed. 
• FoR Codes: FoR codes have not been added; you can contact the Library via ServiceOne to have these added.

Claiming of Scopus & other outputs near key deadlines

For outputs published close to workload or career conversations, researchers may need to claim Scopus outputs themselves. Outputs will need to be claimed at least two weeks prior to the deadline to enable the Library enough time to validate.   

Although the Library will claim outputs on your behalf, you are still able to claim outputs yourself if preferred. Instructions are available here.
