FLO – short for Flinders Learning Online – is the online learning platform used by Flinders University.
FLO is the major teaching and communication tool for topics. It is where students find their topic information, submit their assignments, watch lecture recordings, participate in online discussions, plus much more.
FLO can be used to create entire online topics and courses, or to provide interactive tools that supplement or complement topics and courses. All topics at Flinders have a FLO site.
Flinders have a set of digital learning guidelines which outline good practice for digital learning at Flinders. FLO starter sites can be used to unify the layout and structure of topics across courses, disciplines and colleges. A FLO ‘starter site’ is a semi-pre-configured ‘starting place’ and can be customised to work with the needs of a course or topic.
