Canvas has been available for teaching and learning from January 2023 and we are managing a staged roll-out.
Our project team will keep you informed along the way and will be available to provide support as we make the transition to our new platform throughout 2023.
There are lots of training and support to get you ‘Canvas ready’ and we are keen to collaborate with staff and students to help inform what this change looks like.
If you would like to explore what Canvas has to offer, check out the below.
To assist with a smooth migration there is a range of support available to staff.
Our new support centre has 1000 guides that give you contextual help on how to use Canvas. Marking an assignment? Open the support centre and you’ll see an article on how to add annotations and use rubrics. Creating a quiz? You’ll see articles on building your quiz and the different question types available.
To access the support centre, click on the question mark in the bottom right corner of Canvas.
Get 24/7 phone, chat, and email support from inside the support centre.
For a list of all training dates and information sessions go to iEnrol - canvas to book-in.
As part of our staged roll-out of the Canvas platform there will be a lot of training and support to get you ‘Canvas ready’. Once your topic is ready to transition, you’ll be invited to a series of Canvas workshops, read on to learn more about what to expect. You can book in Face-to-Face workshops and there is now also a canvas course which is a self-paced in Canvas of the following three workshops.
The Canvas readiness checklist focuses on making sure that you follow important key tasks when you are transitioning from Moodle to Canvas LMS for the first time.
Readiness and Topic evaluation builds upon the previous version (The Canvas readiness checklist) and focuses on combining both curriculum and learning design elements to enhance topics to be fully functional for every learner.
The purpose of this new version supports you in enhancing the quality of topics which extends beyond synchronous topic content to promote ongoing independent learning.
