GiftPay is now the University’s preferred supplier of gift cards. The Flinders University centralised GiftPay online portal is easy to use and has many advantages:
A ‘student centred’ approach has been implemented for all gift card credit earned. The funds are being applied to FUSA’s existing process of ‘gift cards for students experiencing financial hardship’. Each single deposit of $1,000 or more, attracts 3.25% of bonus gift card credit. Over $6,000 in bonus gift card credit has already been received.
The process for the GiftPay system is to deposit funds to your nominated ‘Program’ via corporate credit card (preferably), or invoice, then start sending University branded gift cards. Staff members can email gift cards directly to individual students, or via bulk upload. GiftPay treats all data with strict privacy.
Please note that the Flinders University gift card process is still the same. Approval for the purchase of gift cards must be obtained through a Service One request.
To gain access to the Flinders University preferred gift card centralised service, please email procurement@flinders.edu.au so that we can set up your ‘User Access’, your ‘Program’, and the retailers you would like your gift card recipients to choose from.
All new computers and tablets must be purchased through IDS as there are preferred supplier agreements in place with Dell and Apple for desktop and laptop computers.
Flinders University provides a range of licensed software for all staff to access on their work computers.
Most software is available on both Windows and Mac OS X and can be installed at any time from the IDS Support Portal on your computer.
Flinders University has access to JB Hi-Fi’s Solutions online commercial portal. This provides access to ‘commercial customer’ pricing and on-line purchasing rather than a retail environment pricing. The portal will, for most products, provide a discount over the retail pricing. The portal is to be used with your Flinders University Purchasing Card only.
As with all purchasing on behalf of Flinders University, use of the JB Hi-Fi portal should occur in line with Purchase Card Policy, and within local College/Portfolio guidelines. The Portal use is for commercial purposes only and is not for private use. The JB HiFi portal is not exclusive and may not provide the best pricing option in all scenarios, but is provided to provide an appropriate alternative option.
