Has your overseas travel has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak?
As per the Vice-President, Corporate Services email communication from June and July 2021, international travel continues to not be permitted due to the pandemic.
DFAT advice for all countries, except New Zealand, remains ‘Do not travel’.
If travel booked before early March 2020 has been cancelled or disrupted, then in the first instance please contact service providers such as travel agent, administrators airline(s), etc to ask for a credit/ postponement/ refund. You may also contact your credit card provider to request a refund of unspent funds. If you are unable to recoup all expenses, you may lodge a claim on the University’s travel insurer’s online portal for consideration.
Any travel booked after this time is likely to be subject to COVID-19 exclusions.
When you have been advised by the travel insurer of the status of your claim (settled or declined), please send the notification to Risk and Assurance Services on email@example.com.
If you have purchased private travel insurance from another provider for your private travel, you will need to claim from that provider.
