Claim authorship of existing research output

Overview

This guide explains how to claim a research output that exists in ResearchNow but does not have you attributed as an author.

Process

Steps

1. Login to ResearchNow.

2. Navigate to Personal tab 

3. Select Research Outputs on left hand menu. 

4. Delete the My content filter so that you can search for any research outputs where you are not the Author. This and any other filters will be to the right of the funnel icon at the top of the search results. Select the X next to each filter to clear it. 

5. Search for the publication that you want to claim.

6. At the bottom of the pop-up window, click Claim this content. 

7. Select History and Comments and enter a message justifying your claim. You can also select which other users you want to receive the message.

8. Select Claim this content.
   

Notes

After a research output is claimed, it is added to a queue for processing by a Claims Administrator. Once processed you will be added as an author to the research output and notified by the administrator.
