How to express interest
Depending on the role and level of interest, applicants may be invited to participate in a short interview as part of the process. Selection will be made by a panel consisting of the VPED, P&C Senior Business Partner, plus the Dean People and Resources or Director of College Services, as appropriate.

The Dean (People and Resources) is responsible for ensuring the capability, capacity and sustainability of the academic workforce through effective workforce planning, attraction and retention, performance management and workload allocation. As a senior member of the College Executive, the position contributes to decision making that supports staff wellbeing, compliance, operational effectiveness and institutional reputation. The position is accountable for academic workforce capability, performance and workload frameworks and operates in partnership with the Director of College Services on resource and financial implications.

Q: What will my Workload Allocation be in a Discipline lead role?
A: The workload allocation for a Discipline Lead role will have a base workload allocation set at the TPD level. From this base workload allocation, we will work with the preferred candidate (and others as appropriate) to take into account discipline priorities for the coming year(s), including associated workload and any expected increase in academic supervision responsibilities.
Q: What will my Workload Allocation be in a Program/Project lead role?
A: The priorities for each program or project lead role will be set in consultation with the relevant sponsor Dean, the agreed workload allocation will be determined based on key deliverables and aligned to the magnitude of work.
Q: I am a professional staff member interested in a Program or Project Lead role. Will this be in addition to my normal duties?
A: The Program or Project Lead role is designed to run concurrently with your substantive professional position. Depending on program or project priorities in the coming year(s), we will work with you and your supervisor to explore how your professional workload may be adjusted, to ensure you have the capacity to meaningfully engage in the Lead role.
Q: How long are the roles?
A: The term of each of these roles will range from 3-5 years, but further discussions will occur with the successful candidates.
