Welcome to the College of Medicine & Public Health Mentoring Scheme.
CMPH aims to foster the development of its staff and students through mentoring programs. These voluntary programs are designed to facilitate the transfer of the personal and professional knowledge of an experienced person (mentor) to a less experienced staff member or student (mentee) to assist in the development of the mentee.
In June 2019 a pilot Scheme was launched which will run until December 2019.
In early 2020 the initial Scheme will be rolled out to the following staff:
Participation from all career stages (from the most junior to senior levels), from rural and remote areas, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people of any gender is encouraged.
It is intended that mentoring for postgraduate students and professional staff will commence in the near future.
It’s no accident that mentoring relationships have been around for centuries; they can have enormous benefits for everyone involved.
