Flinders is committed to delivering sustainable transport services. Pool vehicles are available for business use by staff.
For students, voluntary workers, consultants and visiting academics, written approval is required from the Director of College (or relevant Director) prior to booking.

Bookings can be made via Service One, if you intend to travel over 250kms, please make note in your booking and we will ensure we provide a vehicle to match your needs.
The use of a four-wheel drive vehicle for field trips and for off road or overnight use may require a risk management plan to be provided to the relevant line manager.
Vehicle bookings are subject to availability and every endeavour will be made to ensure the vehicles are matched to your need. Please note, operational data is collected from the vehicles (such as distance travelled) to help us ensure our fleet continues to meet the University’s requirements.
All vehicle pick ups and returns are to be made from the following locations:
Bedford Park
A range of vehicles are located in car park 6 and car park 9 and keys are available via a self-service lockbox located on the ground floor of the Registry building and inside the front door of the Operations building. You will be provided with a unique PIN code on booking.
Assistance to car park 6 and car park 9 is available via our campus bus service.
Sturt
Vehicles are located in car park 14 and keys are available via a self-service lockbox located outside Sturt North Theatre 335. You will be provided with a unique PIN code on booking.
Tonsley
The vehicle is located outside the back entrance (near the gravel car park). The key is available via a self-service lockbox located near the rear entrance (adjacent landing dock). You will be provided with a unique PIN code on booking.
For after hours collection or return issues, please contact Security on 8201 2880. For roadside assistance at any time, contact the number on the sticker fixed to the front windscreen of the vehicle.
Fuel cards can be used at BP and OTR (On the Run) service stations ONLY. There is a mandatory requirement to provide an accurate odometer reading when using the fuel card. Tip - take a photo of the reading with your phone to assist with accurately recording the number when advising the service station attendant.
If the fuel card provided can not be used to pay for fuel, any fuel expenses borne by the driver can be claimed back via the staff expense reimbursement process.
All accidents and damage must be reported upon return of vehicle via Service One.
