We look after general accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and procurement. This includes:

• Daily cash flow
• Control / training of NAB Visa purchasing cards
• Data entry of purchasing card summaries, invoices, journals and purchase orders
• Weekly cheque runs and overseas payment runs
• Staff advances and reimbursements
• Payment and collection of funds on behalf of the University

About us

Since the opening of Flinders Connect the cashiers team is now known as Revenue and provides the following services:

• Management of the online payment service
• Petty cash reimbursements
• Sundry petty cash (where there is no facility for this in your local unit) between 2-5 pm
• Student and staff advances
• Cheque payment to GL
• Repayment of purchases charged inadvertently to a University purchasing card
• Back office processing and reconciliations

About us

The financial accounting team is responsible for:

• Producing relevant, timely and reliable financial information to assist the University in effective management of finance and procurement resources.
• Providing advice and assistance to the University community on financial and related matters.
• Producing the University budget and Annual Financial Statements.
• Submitting BAS (GST) and FBT returns on behalf of the University.
• Providing a Senior Financial Accountant for Uniwide
• Handling asset issues for the University.

The Grants Finance Office is responsible for the financial administration of all research grants, special purpose funds and consulting funds, including:

• establishing accounts
• raising invoices for grant income
• authorising funding availability for all staff appointments
• preparing financial statements
• assisting with policy/procedure queries
• monitoring overdrawn accounts
• liaison with external funding bodies
