The VPED is key to supporting a positive academic experience for all students. The VPED will sit on committees and groups on matters relating to learning and teaching, academic facilities and academic policy and processes. The VPED is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor of the University and engages with other VPEDs from the other Colleges.

Dean (Education) Professor Karen Lower
The Dean (Education) will ensure the quality and sustainability of its educational endeavours for a globally competitive higher education environment. The role will drive innovation in curricula including internationalisation, management of continuous improvement activities related to learning and teaching, the student experience and achievement of domestic and international targets. The Dean (Education) is responsible for the overall management of professional accreditation processes for College programs.

The Dean (People and Resources)
The Dean (People and Resources) oversees the development and management of academic staff within the College to support achievement of the College strategic objectives in a manner consistent with the University’s vision and values. The Dean (People and Resources) will also provide high level advice to the Vice-President and Executive Dean in relation to the academic staff and resources required to deliver effective College operations.

Dean (Research) Professor Billie Bonevksi
The Dean Research and the Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute Director will provide leadership and vision in setting the strategic research directions and goals for the College of Medicine and Public Health expanding research through the attraction of external grant and contract income and establishing its reputation on an international scale in alignment with the strategic directions of the College and University.

The Dean (Rural and Remote Health) oversees the high quality multidisciplinary regional academic and research programs that positively impact some of the most diverse and culturally rich communities in Australia. The Dean (Rural and Remote Health) provides leadership and vision in developing evidence based strategies that support a sustainable and flourishing health workforce in rural and remote Australia.

Director, College Services Lorraine Karunaratne
The Director, College Services is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of professional support services for the College. The role makes proactive and positive contributions to the College’s service culture and goals of the University. The position will lead and manage diverse and multi-disciplinary professional staff teams to provide cohesive and consistent customer service to a range of stakeholders within the College.
