Staff directory guide

The University staff directory displays information about staff as it is recorded in the University’s HR system (Workday).

Workday is the authoritative source of information for staff position, building and organisational unit, teaching program, teaching section, research section, research theme and service affiliation while the Identity System is the source of information for phone number.

Updating the staff directory

Update your name and salutation

Use Workday to update your salutation, legal and preferred name.

Update your position title

Your position title is determined by your position details held in Workday.

If this is incorrect, or needs to be updated, please speak to your supervisor in the first instance, then your People and Culture team who will be able to update the position details.

Update your phone number

To update your phone number in the staff directory, please submit a request via ServiceOne

Update your teaching program, teaching section, research section, research theme or service affiliation

If your teaching program, teaching section, research section, research theme or service affiliation information is incorrect, please consult (in order):

your supervisor, or
your Dean or Director

Affiliations are recorded in Workday as 'Academic Appointments'. This information can be updated in Workday by your People & Culture business partner or coordinator, under the advice of your supervisor.

Update your location

Your location is recorded in Workday as your Work Space. This can be changed by your supervisor by initiating a Job Change process, selecting Change Location, and then specify the Work Space.

Once your Work Space information is updated in Workday by your supervisor, location details in the staff directory will be updated.

Room information is not stored in Workday. If you need to provide specific details, please include it in your email signature.
