The Learning and Teaching Services' academic development team work with both groups of staff and individuals on topic or course-based educational development supporting our Strategic Plan 2016 – 2025 (Making a Difference - The 2025 Agenda). Our academics have particular expertise across many areas and design individualised support and professional development activities to help you reflect on and develop your teaching. This includes a primary focus on curriculum design (including development and alignment of learning outcomes, assessment and learning activities) and teaching practice.
Both early career staff and more experienced academics can work through a range of seminars, workshops, programmes and online modules for their teaching development. Direct College support is provided from academic staff with relevant backgrounds or experience. We customise academic development for specific areas of need. Our research and innovation focus helps us keep abreast of latest developments in higher education, supporting you to translate these into practice.
