The virtual guest parking permit provides university-paid parking for guests of Flinders University who are participating in activities like business meetings, seminars/lectures, workshops, committees, or student supervision. The decision to pay for guest parking remains at the discretion of local areas and Colleges. The cost of the guest permit ($3.50 per hour of parking) is charged to the College or Professional Service local area using a cost center code in the ‘back-end’ of the online vPermit tool.
If you are a Service Specialist you can create a guest permit in ‘vPermit’ which is accessible from your Okta dashboard. Note, you will need the guest’s registration number, date and times they will be parked on Campus when creating a permit.
You will need the guest’s registration number to create a permit. Note that if you do not have the guest’s registration number at the time of creating the permit you can still create the permit using an admin registration number (123456) and then update the vehicle registration details when your guest arrives. If the correct vehicle registration number is not updated the guest may receive an infringement notice.
Guest permits can be used to park in white bays or 2P (2-hour maximum parking bays). Guest permits cannot be used to park in blue bays. View further information and carpark details.
If special parking is required for VIPs please contact the Customer Service team for assistance and to discuss your requirements.
If you need help with Guest permits please contact the Customer Service team via Service One or phone 8201 2733.
