Access via vPermit

'Virtual' business blue permits can be accessed from any desktop or mobile device (Android and iOS) using vPermit.

Access

All Flinders staff with a valid FAN can request a business blue permit for business purposes when used in conjunction with one of the following pre-purchased parking sessions:

  • vPermit (30 consecutive day, half year or yearly vPermit)
  • CellOPark session
  • Visitor parking machine session

Please note, access to a business blue permit does not guarantee that there will be a blue bay available in the car park of your choice. It is suggested that you request a business blue permit once you have found an available blue bay.

You can also view real-time information of parking availability.

Frequently asked questions

What is a business blue permit? keyboard_arrow_up

A business blue parking permit provides short-term parking for staff who need to move between multiple destinations during the course of a given business day for activities like business meetings, seminars, workshops, or student placement visits.

Business blue permits can’t be used as a general day-to-day parking solution or an all-day preferential car space.

You will need to have a valid parking session (either staff vPermit or CellOPark session) as well as a business blue permit to park in a blue bay.

Physical / hardcopy permits are no longer used.

Who can access business blue permits? keyboard_arrow_up

All staff with a valid FAN can request a business blue permit (students won’t be able to request a business blue permit). If you are a staff member and you are also an enrolled student please contact PFD Customer Service about gaining access to business blue permits.

You will need to have a valid parking session (either staff vPermit or CellOPark session) as well as a business blue permit to park in a blue bay.

What if there are no blue bays available, but I have a business blue permit? keyboard_arrow_up

Having a business blue permit does not guarantee you a spot. It is possible that at times there may be no available blue bays in the car park of your choice, or any car park.

If this occurs you can contact PFD Customer Service who can help you find a business blue bay in another car park or help you find an alternative parking solution. Blue bay occupancy can also be found through the University’s way finding system. The parking team can help you with access to this.

Can I use a business blue permit in a 2P bay? keyboard_arrow_up

Business blue permits can only be used in a blue bay and can’t be used to park in a 2P bay unless prior agreement has been sought from PFD Customer Service.

I’m a College Operations Team Member, can I use a business blue permit? keyboard_arrow_up

All staff members with a valid FAN are able to access and use business blue permits for short-term business parking at Flinders. If you are a staff member and you are also an enrolled student, please contact PFD Customer Service about gaining access to a permit.

What if I can’t find anywhere to park? keyboard_arrow_up

No, the purpose of a business blue permit is is to enable short-term parking for staff who need to travel between multiple destinations for business needs during the course of a business day.

If you have a meeting or conference that spans several days, we encourage you to consider a general parking solution as this may more suitable for your needs.

At present, you can request a business blue permit for one x single 2 or 4-hour session at a time.

Can I request a business blue permit in advance? keyboard_arrow_up

Yes, you can request a business blue permit 24 hours in advance - however please note that requesting a permit does not guarantee space will be available.

Can I book a recurring business blue permit? keyboard_arrow_up

At this time, it’s not possible to book a recurring business blue permit, though this is something that we are looking into as a future enhancement of the system.

How do I provide feedback? keyboard_arrow_up
