This guide shows you how to further improve your profile, and the effect on the ResearchNow Portal.
Login to ResearchNow.
Navigate to Personal tab on top menu bar
Select Edit profile… A pop-up appears.
Select Portal profile in the left-hand pane.
You can modify three elements of your portal profile: Show collaboration map on profile, Show affiliations and Show metrics. These provide dynamic displays of your collaborations and institutions and your research output metrics (H index and citations), By default the collaboration map is turned on, the affiliation is set to your primary organization unit and the metrics are visible
Select Highlighted content in the left hand pane.
Select the tab of the content type to highlight content from.
NOTE: At the moment there is only one usable tab (Research outputs) but in future other options will be added.
Select the + icon to open a search bar.
Type in the search bar for content.
Choose the correct item by selecting on the list.
Reorder publications by using the arrow buttons.
Remove items using the – (minus) button.
NOTE: Once you have selected five objects for a content type, you won’t be able to search for more until you remove some!
To receive an email notification when new publications are harvested from Scopus, tick the box next to Inform me by email when candidates are found.
NOTE: When new publications are harvested, the system notifies you either via email (if you selected that option) or under your personal tasks. It is recommended to turn on the email notification, otherwise you might miss any harvested candidates if you do not login to ResearchNow regularly.
In the section Enable automated search, for Scopus, the default is On with the button showing as blue. Your Scopus author ID should be displayed. If it is incorrect or missing, please advise an administrator.
Select Save at the bottom of the pop-up.
