Dear colleagues,
The state government has confirmed South Australia’s lockdown will lift at midnight tonight, enabling a return to work tomorrow.
Level 4 restrictions are expected to remain in place for at least a week with masks mandatory on public transport and in high-risk settings such as hospitals. Masks are strongly recommended in other settings such as offices.
The University will be open and is subject to slightly different density guidelines than other locations, enabling essential activities (eg clinical skills and lab sessions etc) to continue.
In any essential group activity please maintain a physical distancing of 1.5m from others, and a maximum density of one person for every two square metres indoors.
In all other activities please maintain a minimum of four square metres per person.
In addition, and in accordance with SA Health advice you are strongly recommended to wear a mask in all indoor settings and while engaging with others.
Please ensure that you bring your mask to work. If you’re unable to obtain a mask, please contact your supervisor.
We’re already receiving questions about events, field trips, morning teas and the like. Please make every endeavour to limit group activities to only those that are essential. Non-essential visitors to campus are also discouraged at this time.
I look forward to seeing you back on campus, and in the meantime stay safe.
-Mark, on behalf of the Flinders COVID-19 taskforce.
